I have a propritary php MySql driven template based web hosting system which "parks" all the domains onto the main domain through reassigning the document root for the individual domain from their "username account" to the main account. I need the user account for CPanel items such as Email Manager, etc. Recently, my worker who doesn't understand SSH, just follows my detailed instructions, went in using Shell Access and instead of deleting the public_html for the user account ( rm -rf public_html ), didn't realize he was in the main account's directory and deleted EVERYTHING. I have the shell commands all written out and it takes less than a minute to use the command prompt terminal, but letting humans touch the root command prompt is far too dangerous. I would like a BASH SHELL SCRIPT written that will simply ask the question: Which account username do you wish to reassign the document root to main account - submit I would like this on an HTML interface if possible behind password access. Even better would be to be able to place this option in either the CPanel or WebHostManager. My intention is to not allow root access to the shell or apache httpd files to any of my staff, only myself and the hosting company's staff. If this is successful, I would like to know how to create and install other scripts of this kind in the future.
