Custom Database Design

I require a database to be created that would be available to be uploaded to a DVD and reproduced in mass. The database would contain approximately 150,000 records with around 10-15 fields of data per record. The broad requirements are detailed below: •Database to be uploaded to a DVD. •DVD would need to be easily reproducible by a DVD manufacturer but not by a user e.g. a master DVD provided to the manufacturer with this privilege (read only, copy etc) •Database could be sent via an online link (via email) for one time download but would not be accessible online •DVD and online link to contain a licence agreement that must be agreed to before being able to access the data •The database could only be installed on one computer (1 installation per user) •Information on the database must be searchable (e.g. advanced search) according to the column headings, keywords etc. •Database would need to include an “add to/remove from shortlist” feature for users to review a contact and save for future review •Database would need to include a function for the user to highlight whether they have contacted the individual listed – this feature would need to include date contacted, comments, outcome. The outcome would highlight the contact by green, amber, red according to status. All statuses would need to be searchable / be able to be sorted by status and can be removed as specified •The database would need to be searchable by just the column headings e.g. “only show contacts listed in (country)” or “only show (industry sector) contacts” •When connected to the internet, the user will have a click feature per contact to update any field listed. The update of the field would generate an automated message to an external email account so that we can update periodically for future releases. There would also be a feature for “incorrect details” that would send an automated message to an external email account for review •You would need to include a short user manual that would be saved within the database for extraction on installation •The database would need to be installable on Mac and PC •The database would need to be thoroughly bug tested on a variety of computers Other: •You must be willing to sign a confidentiality agreement in order to protect the data that would be provided to you for upload to the database. •You must provide any source files used to create the database so that it can be customised / added to at a later date •I would, in all likelihood, assign you periodically update the database content and design I look forward to receiving your response.
