Custom Email-to-DB client

We use the contact manangement software ACT by Sage. We are a software company and users register to download. ACT has a an import mechanism that requires a lot of cutting and pasting. We want a VB6 app that fetches registrations from a given email account every few minutes, parses up the registration string from the email, and populates a record in an ACT? database. There are two files? we'll call SCRATCH (a plain text file)? and WORKING(the target ACT database). The app should put the new records into? the SCRATCH file and? provide a gui for cleaning up typos, deleting duplicates and other simple, predictable tasks. The user should then be able to approve any number of registration records and move them to the WORKING file via programming resources allowing VB6 programmmers to connect to the ACT framework. The goal is to have this VB6 app running at the same time as ACT is running and to silently connect with ACT as often as need to add new records. There is a freeware tool for connecting to the ACT framework from VB6. Proposals from people who have done VB6 programming for ACT are preferred. ## Deliverables We are 30-60 days away from starting ths project.? But as soon as business picks up a but we'll proceed.
