The application will write metadata to mp2 files. (Music Files - Mpeg1, Layer 2). The metadata will be obtained from a SQL2000 database. The data relating to the files is stored in columns within SQL2000 this includes the: Title, Artist, Composer, Album, Genre ect…(15 fields in total). The database also contains the direct path to the related audio file. The application should connect to the SQL database through ADO read the relevant data from the correct columns and write this data to the correct Id3 tags of the audio file. The application must not rename or modify the name of the file, however it must read the data from the database and write the data to the correct ID3 fields. In the database each file has a unique numeric ID, For example a file may have a ID of 345 or 56372 or 2132538. This ID represents one file, no ID’s are duplicated. The application must be able to do a batch read / write. It must be possible to specify a range of IDs to have their meta data written to for example. Files with IDs between 1 to 500. If I only wanted one file to have its metadata written I would specify 499 to 499. The program flow should be as follows: 1. User enters a range of ID’s to be read / written 2. User click on a button (Read / Write) 3. Applications checks the range of files to be read / written. 4. Applications connects to SQL database, read the title, artist, composer, genre ect… ect.. of file. [login to view URL] reads File path and locates the correct file. 6. Application write this metadata to the correct fields within the file. 7. Application reads the next ID and repeats the process. 8. Once the batch is finished a message is displayed “Files with ID range 1 to 500 have been completed. The application must have a nice Windows XP Interface. The application must have a splash screen (*.bmp will be supplied). The application must be written in Delphi. The database is SQL2000. The application should connect to the database through ADO. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law.
