Changes/adjustments to TV schedule script (XML->db->XML)

We have a script that was written for us, but we are not totally happy with the results. Therefore we need help in making adjustments to this script, which is written in PHP. The script reads XML on several external sites, writes the data into database and then outputs it again. This is all working, but the display layer is not 100% according to our wishes. The content itself is highly time and date sensitive, since it is a TV schedule and the output should reflect that all TV programs that have passed should not be shown to the user (since they have no relevance). You must have very good knowledge of English, since all instructions and discussion will be in English. We are looking to build a long-term relationship with a quality programmer. Payment only through SWIFT bank transfer (no paypal/ecrow). Can provide samples of both the script and the XML input/output format if needs arises.
