I am a native English speaker and I specialize in editing work written by non-native speakers. I can take any word salad and transform it into a readable composition with a US English voice. I can generally edit up to 2K words per hour. However, if the work requires significant editing, research checking or rewriting, my average drops to about 1K words per hour. For light editing, I charge by the word at a rate of $5 per 500 words (rounding word count up at integral of 51). For heavy editing and potential rewriting, I charge by the hour at $35/hr. When I work by the hour, I use the freelancer time tracker app. I will never start a project by the hour until I have confirmed with the client first that the hourly rate will apply. I am thorough, meticulous and diligent in my accuracy. I have never missed a deadline and pride myself on repeat clients. My time is flexible and I usually return work the same day. My only job is freelancing (I am my mother's caretaker), so this is not a hobby. This is how I pay my bills, so I take it extremely seriously. I'm very interested in developing a long term, regular relationship with clients who send me regular, good paying work. I am located in the US on the east coast, and I do not work on foreign time zones (I don't start work that comes in the middle of my night. I'll work on it once I'm up.)
