PIAF - PBX IN FLASH IVR AND DATABASE MANIPULATION
I need to learn how to create Asterisk Gateway Interface and corresponding code
to add to an existing PBX-In-In-a-Flash based system that will:
1.) Execute a query based on caller input. For example query a customer table by account number for the IVR interface
using MySQL database on remote machine
2.) Then the IVR should "read" the results back to the customer using a text2speech engine
-If the result has leading zeros, remove them when reading the result
-The way the data is read back to the customer is open to your suggestions (we can discuss)
I am fairly new to Asterisk, but can get the basic functionality going. I am also not a very experienced programmer, yet
I am very logical and can work with anyone willing to teach.
This is for a school project which is why I do not just want the code or solutution, but also the knowledge.
I want to learn how to do this on my own and modify the database connection string to connect to virtually any
database or retreive any value or entire row from the database.
I would also like to learn how to parse the row once retrieved, insert, delete, and update records through the IVR interface.
I do not prefer a particular language, yet a low learning curve is ideal. Whatever language we decide on, must be something I can reuse and change depending on what I need to do.
I would like to work with you or you can explain things to me as you build the solution so I can learn.
On many of these things, you can just point me in the right direction or give me something to read as I really like to learn. I only really need some strong guidance and mentoring.
The main objective here is learning not having a complicated end product.
Please suggest if you would like to work by hour, etc. and list your price. I would also like to talk to the person/people prior to committing to a job.
Please, Only serious bidders who are willing to teach and share knowledge.
Thank You.
