Build a database

We are currently looking to engage a Database Developer on a contract basis to facilitate the design, development, and implementation of a customized database for use by internal personnel. Position Responsibilities - Collaborate with internal staff in ascertaining database needs and related functionalities - Prepare and adhere to an established budget and timeline - Evaluate and advise on all technology components, such as software, hardware, and networking capabilities, for the proposed database - Develop all aspects of database including design and deployment of data table structures, forms, reports, and queries. - Diagnose and resolve database access and performance issues - Development and maintenance of the database stored procedures, views and functions - Produce ad-hoc queries and develop reports to support business needs - Ensure all database systems meet business and performance requirements - Train internal staff on maintenance of backend of database - Creation and maintenance of technical documentation - Contribute to the client service team by producing quality work with a quick turnaround and attentive service Essential Candidate Requirements - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Data Analytics, or similar field - Master’s degree in Information Technology related field (or current Graduate student) preferred - IT or related database certification preferred - Minimum of 3 years of database development experience required - Proficient knowledge of MS Office Suite with advanced expertise in Access - Proficient knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) - Strong technical knowledge of relational database concepts required - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - High level of organizational skills - Excellent communication skills, verbal and written - Ability to work well as a team player - Detail oriented with an ability to synthesize multiple tasks
