I have an SQL database which I will be loading with data from Invoices, CMS-1500, CMS-1450, and EOB data. I need an automated tool that will take the data from SQL and convert it to X12 EDI. Preferably, you will recommend and use some 3rd party EDI translation tool of your choice (which you have experience with) instead of writing a custom conversion code. I will purchase this tool license if it is not free. Your responsibility will be to setup SQL table per document type (CMS-1500, EOB, Invoice, etc.) with meaningful field names. I will load that table fields with my data. You then need to create a mechanism that will convert this data to EDI output automatically. Initial project requires 3 document types: CMS-1500 (EDI 837), CMS-1450 (EDI 835), Purchase Order (EDI 850). Later I will request more formats as a new project. In your response, make sure to include: a) your experience with x12 EDI b) what 3rd party tools and costs you plan to use c) brief explanation of architecture I am a developer and technical software consultant myself. I have hands on experience of writing services(API(REST),web/windows services OR Mirth) for that, so i would suggest rather than investing in any third party tool for that is not worthy. I can provide you setup that automatically create 837 EDI based on your sql data and will sent over to configured clearing house for claim processing and schedule routine will watch response like 277/277CA /999 or 835 and process back to your sql database.

Hello, I would like to propose you to use an open source EDI software: BOTS. It is known as very stable, it is written in Python and it's fairly easy to install, configure and use. This means that it involves no costs for you (from license point of view). I have worked in EDI for more than 6 years, mostly with other formats than X12, but it's not unknown to me. BOTS allows you to translate any file format to any, including database, X12, flat files, csv, json etc. It's easy to install it (I have only used it on Windows, but Linux works too). and to create multiple environments so you can test properly before deploying in production. Hello, I have working experience of EDI transaction. I worked on EDI transaction 204 – Load tendered ,990 – Load acceptance ,214 – Load status and 837 -Health Care Claim. So I am confident that I would be able to work on EDI transactions. I have developed application in VB6 to accept the EDI transaction X12 4010 & 5010 format file, parse that file , update database and generate EDI file through application. I am easy to work with person and have genuine customer-friendly attitude.
