Have a basic Wordpress site for posts & commenting. Was using BuddyPress & bbpress. But now have an external (proprietary) site for handling membership and a few other services. Posts and commenting remain at the wordpress site. Need to integrate a few membership aspects with the proprietary site. Proprietary site has own RESTful API, that will return GETs in JSON. Need: 1) Correlation between UID (or at least users) on both systems. As can only GET, must be able to setup a wordpress user that is tied into a proprietary system user. 2) A few minor changes to commenting, like linking user name/avatar on commenting system, to user profile on proprietary system (rather than wordpress user).
