Working RESTful service example

I need a simple, example RESTful service written in Java. What I am interested in mostly, is seeing best practices through a working model. The attached archive contains a project skeleton - it is intended to show what I have in mind (not cast in stone of course). Basically it is a maven parent with three modules: * model: contains domain objects * client: work required here, to provide an implementation that is capable of calling all the methods on the service interface with dummy values * server: work required here, to provide an implementation that will respond the queries by altering the value passed in by the client. For example, in case of a string append "ack" to it, for a number add 1 to it. Some of the implementation criteria: * versioned service implementations, e.g. "v1" and "v2" alters the client supplied differently * exception handling * server to use Spring MVC (xml config preferred) * an integration style unit test that runs up the server and makes the client calls as outlined above - I am expecting to simply run the build and see the results * nice, structured code
