Application to connect retailers with Customers

Background: ? Entity 1 :- Customer ? Entity 2 :- Vendor (8 to 10 different vendors) Vendor is in retail business of product X, Y, Z and has a computer with an inventory management application called Appln (Eg :- Vendor 1 using Appln 1, Vendor 2 using Appln 2 etc). The purpose of Appln is to store products X, Y, Z’s inventory details through various parameters (eg- P1, P2, P3, P4, P5). Parameters could be :- Name, Price, Manufactured By, Date of MFG, Quantity by Unit (1 pair of shoe), Quantity by Pakage (1 pack of 5 pairs of shoes) .....etc. Appln – Has a front end through which the vendor enters all parameter details during the stock purchase from their wholesaler. As the stock enters the shop, all these details are duly updated by the vendor in Appln. All the parameters of the products are stored in the local hard drive of Vendor’s computer and it is stored in different database. For. Eg:- Appln 1 – Database is Oracle, Appln 2 – Databse is MySQL, Appln 3 – Database is Ms Access so on and so forth. Requirement:- A software (Eg:- Soft1) which has internet connectivity. Once Soft1 is installed in the vendor’s computer, it should retrieve Parameter P1, P2, P3, P4, P5 etc from the database of Appln and store it in an internet connected server Eg;- Server1. This Server1 will be connected to a website. This website will be used by the customer to place an order for Product X, Y or Z and the vendor will arrange a home delivery of this product for the customer. Hence this website should have real-time updated information of Product X, Y, Z which is updated by the vendor in his Appln while purchasing it and storing it in his inventory. The software Soft1 should be an installable application which can be stored in a CD and given to the Vendor for installing it in his computer. Once installed, it should retrieve all defined parameters P1, P2, P3, P4, P5, P6 etc and send it via internet to Server1 which will be connected to the website which will provide frontend access of Product X, Y, Z to the end-customer.
