We have a functioning website that is built on ruby on rails. it is an employment website connecting industry specific applicants with job posters. [login to view URL] We have a log-n members section called a 'dashboard' for i) job posters to manage their job posting; and, ii) for job applicants to manage their applicant profile. Our website has been designed, but we are moving everything out of house. This is a two step project where we are looking for i) someone to make some immediate changes to elements of our website; and ii) someone to upgrade/maintain the website functionality, such as ensuring everything is encrypted properly, hosted properly on servers, etc. We could be hiring the same person for both projects or different people for each one. This is some of what we need: a) for job posters, the ability to include pictures in their posting; b) for job posters, the ability to enter their postal code in order to have their postal code region appear on a larger collective 'heat map' of all of our job postings; c) i) creating a new dropdown menu on the job posting tab with 4 options in order to incorporate 4 new categories of job postings. (plus our original category, so there will be 5 categories total) The categories will be replicas of the original template of the job posting form we have now. The new categories need to be created so that: a) users can filter search results by categories; and b) billing purposes c) ii) replicating project c i) but for the job applicant page (except our service is free for job applicants, so there is no billing attached to the job applicant pages. d) some housekeeping o the website - ex changing information on about us page, removing some basic functions of the site. - We had developed the website in house - everything is going out of house now. This can be negotiated separately, or together, whatever's clever. The site was designed using RubyonRails, and the person(s) working with us will have to be familiar with this codebase.
