I need a C# form that takes information stored in a text file and displays it to the user in a nice formatted manner. It also needs to have a click able button or link where the user can click on the end of the line to open a file.
## Deliverables
This needs to be done in .Net 3.5 (VS 2008 or 2010). NOT ASP.Net.
It needs to be a WinForms app.
I need a C# form that will read the following data from a text file:
(filename should be [login to view URL]).
12-12-10 2:50 PM
[login to view URL]
12-1-10 3:33 PM
[login to view URL]
11:15-10 7:12 PM
[login to view URL]
And then display the three items like this (no listbox's). It needs to be nice look and formatted properly.
12-12-10 2:50PM, file '[login to view URL]'. View Now?
12-1-10 3:33PM, file '[login to view URL]'. View Now?
11-15-10 7:12PM, file '[login to view URL]'. View Now?
I then want the user to be able to click the "View Now?" part, and then have the file open to view. The "View Now?" preferably should be a button.
I just need the "View Now"? to be clickable and pass the file name value to the routine and then process something such as:
private void ViewNow_Click(object sender, EventArgs e)
{
//Don't worry about the code here. But I do need to have the filename passed here so I can process it (such as [login to view URL]).
//[login to view URL](FileNametoOpen);
}
I am more interested in just having the three items (or more if I add them myself) read into the form and formatted so it looks nice when displayed to the user.
And the the second most important item is to be able to have the user click the "View Now?" button or link and then have it execute the code that I will put into the ViewNow_Click event. I will add the code myself, but I need to have the filename passed to this routine so I can do processing (or opening) on it.
