I need a utility to detect all machine hardware with maximum information as possible. It will be used on a larger application to detect hardware changes over the network. The code needs to be able to collect sufficient information to discern specific hardware changes. For example it needs to read memory modules SPD information and get the module manufacturer and serial number so if someone change the module for another of same size we will be able to detect that. We would be glad if All hardware that have a manufacture and serial should be gathered beside the vendorID and DeviceID. The tool need to send the information to a server over tcp/ip socket connection to a parameter passed port. The tool can require administrative privileges. It needs to run on any windows 9x/2000/XP/Vista/Server 2003/2008/Windows 7, etc... It needs to run in 32 and 64 Bit desktops. No need to run on itanium systems. The code need to be fully documented. It need to have a functionality to make a checksum of machine hardware instead of collecting all details so we can detect changes over time without too much network traffic. Well, it?s a urgent work and we already have a tool that does that but it does not send the data over the network. You can use it as a base if you want it. For items like network card where multiple exists it need to indicate the active one too.
