Exchange Rate Reminder APP

1. Target Users and Propose Statement Due to the huge number of international students in the UK, the need to buy pounds sterling has increased. However, frequent changes in exchange rates affect users' purchasing decisions. It is difficult for users to timely and accurately understands the trend of real-time exchange rates, and when is the best time to buy. Therefore, the software is needed to promptly remind users of the appropriate exchange rate. This application design helps international students monitor the exchange rate of the pound and remind users when the rate is below the preset value. Layout 1) Exchange rate refreshing statement display area: The top of the page shows the time of the last refresh and a countdown to the next refresh, which takes place every 60 seconds. 2) 'GBP' area: The option of 'GBP' is fixed with a default value of £1000.00, and users can type to change the value of GBP. The value of GBP is retained to two decimal places. 3) 'Currency selection' area: The option of 'Currency selection area' can be changed to any currency users need by drop-down list, and the value is decided by the real-time exchange rate (retained to two decimal places). Besides, how much £1 equals the target currency needs to be shown below (retained to four decimal places). 4) Preset value input area: 'Notify me when 1 GBP goes below {value of users' input} EUR'----There must be a default value showing the real-time rate in the box (retained to four decimal places), and the user can change it to the value he/she expect by typing. 5) 'Apply Reminder' button: After clicking on the 'Apply Reminder', the application will pop up a setting status message ('successful' or 'failure'). Once the status is successful, change the colour of the button 'Apply Reminder' to grey. Change the grey button back to its original colour when the user re-enters the preset value. 6) Pop-up message: Once the real value less than or equal to the preset value, the app will send a message from the background of the users' device. The default text is: "The exchange rate has dropped to your preset value, click to see the real-time rate".
