We are looking to create a small, keychain sized sensor that measures altitude, distance, force, direction and speed. It needs to be able to stand up to being placed inside a foam soccer ball and kicked around by kids. The app would take the information from the sensor and display it in a way that is easy for kids to read and interpret. If possible, we'd like the app to be able to take multiple sets of data, remember them, and present as a graph. We are targeting students ages 5-12, and we see this being primarily used in science classrooms.
The first part is developing the sensor itself; sourcing components and providing an estimate of the cost to produce the sensor. The second part is to create an app for the sensor that collects data from the sensor and communicates that data to teachers and students in a simple, but useful, manner.
In essence, I need this… 1. A sensor that can be placed in a foam soccer ball that can measure altitude, distance, force, direction and speed. 2. An accompanying app that can display data obtained from sensor and display should be easily understandable by kids of age 5 - 12 years

Greetings,
An interesting and really involved project indeed.
To give some idea on what you need - you are talking of a battery powered BT controller with not one but many sensors around it - GPS, Acc, Gyro, Baro, Mag to name the major. Interfacing so many sensors makes the circuit design really challenging. However that is the easiest part - putting it all together on a tiny PCB and then doing the firmware so that it accurately computes all the parameters required is really tricky & involved.
I believe you need working prototypes and then build an app around it for user interfacing. All in all it's a long haul project until I have seriously misunderstood your requirements. Somehow the budget for your project is off the mark.
I would love to do this project for you as I specialize in systems like this - please see my profile for details - however we need to talk for understanding more details. Also please note this is just an initial bid - I am guessing it will be much higher based on the actual details we discuss. Let me know if you want to take this forward.
Look forward to hear from you.

Hi,
I read your project details. I have experience in developing sensor as well as apps for controller. Can we discuss the project in more details?
Looking Forward,
