Arduino record and playback button for Arcade stick

Hi all, I've got 6 button arcade with 2 extra buttons which I want to use for a record and playback button. I wish for a programmer to modify my code record button is pressed and initiates a record process starting when the joystick moves or a button is pressed. Once the record button is pressed again this stops the record process. so it can record stick movements and button presses. The only change compared to the video is that the playback plays only if the playback button remains pressed else stop the playback. Similar to this video.
