i am mainly doing embedded designs and programming. as per my knowledge there s way to program an 89S52 using Serial communication with or without using Boot loader. the 89S52 microcontroller is not having IAP(in application programmable ) option or you have to use external memory for this ISP programmer will work with 89S52 if you give your requirement in details i can provide a better solution for you
