Create a drum arrangement in Ableton

The track consists of one piano loop and a long electronic drum kit improvisation around 20 minutes in total. The improvisation is in time with the project bpm and was recorded with metronome and the loop and so everything aligns with the grid. The goal is to carefully pick out the very best and most interesting parts of the drum performance and remix everything into a creative, interesting and catchy arrangement. In the end you will expected to make two versions - one around 3-4 minutes long, and another which is less than 60 seconds long. The loops are all in an Ableton project so you would be expected to work in Ableton and to have your own copy of Ableton 10. The electronic drums are in MIDI in an ableton drum rack - there is possibility for tweaking individual notes or some degree of quantize/groove pool. The most important thing is to have the patience and ear to be able to pick out the very best parts of the individual improvised performances. You are encouraged to be creative and to try to create something original and to use your imagination.
