Magento Developer - Multiple Projects / Training / On-going Support

Hi there - we are an experienced Web Design and E-commerce company based in the UK and Canada. We have been established for over 20 years with over 800 clients. We also work with a range of high profile clients. We are now starting to offer Magento solutions to our clients due to high demand. We are looking for an experienced Magento Programmer / Developer to work our existing team - long term. We would be looking to out source Magento projects to you on a regular basis. Potentially leading to a full time position for the right candidate. Initially you will need to work with several of our developers to give them an overview to Magento and offer training and support. We would imagine a days initial training would be required. We would pay you on a per hour basis. We would imagine the initial training session to last 5 to 7 hours maximum. We would be covering the following areas: - Are there any common Magento templating mistakes & how to avoid them. Bug avoidance. - ‘How to’ install a template/design. - ‘How to’ customise a template/design. - ‘How to’ install a plugin. - ‘How to’ Create a New Template and add to Magento? (eg. Customise the homepage / new design layout (eg 4 cols / 5 cols / homepage etc) - Amends / customisation best practice & procedures. Magento’s file structure. - How do you setup a Magento site for single store configuration? Start to finish. The training session would be done through the software Gotomeeting.com. The successful candidate will need to have considerable experience and knowledge in the software Magento. You must be fluent in English.
