it can be easily done using ansys transient and explicit analysis easily showing how kinetic energy of the bird or UAV copter impact on the potential or internal energy of the system and plasticity and damage models can also be implemented. Although same things can be done via abaqus software solver but I am more compatible in using ansys. However, also have some expertise in abaqus, conversely it will require more time get the results.
