Howdy 1823!
I've ghostwritten one 30,000 word middle-age children's book (short sample below can provide more as required) and a 110,000 non-fiction book. I can adjust my writing style to fit younger children and can create a unique voice that is still reminiscent of the style in "Creepy Carrots."
Would love to discuss your needs further.
Sample writing:
Chapter 1: Sissel and Boone clear the attic
Today, Oslo, Norway
Sissel held her chin with her hand and drummed her fingers on her cheek. She stared out the window of her bedroom looking through the falling snow. Boone, her bulldog, opened just one of his sleepy eyes, glanced at her and lazily closed it again. He would have to reserve his strength.
Whenever Sissel started drumming her fingers and staring through stuff instead of looking at it, something big, scary, or dangerous was about to happen.
“Boone, wake up! We aren’t going to waste a perfectly good snow day are we?” she said with as much playfulness as urgency. Boone was a full year younger than Sissel, but nine is kinda old for a dog.
Dad would say, “You have to take it easy on him. In dog years, he’s my age.” Her father would win the “Father of the Year” award as long as it was for the dullest father ever.
She bet even when dad was a kid and had a snow day, he spent it shoveling the snow, or reading a book, or catching up on homework.
“Come on Boone. I’ve got a great idea.” Which of course meant somebody was going to break a bone or require stitches.
