Change template in Squarespace

Hi, I am working in the Henson template building out my site ([login to view URL] via Squarespace). However, when you scroll to the bottom of your page, the footer appears and continues to scroll up to reveal the original homepage text. I like that! What I don't like is that that text is being overlaid over an image from the page... which makes it hard to read and looks a bit messy. I am trying to hide the image in the background, assuming it's the banner. However, if I delete the banner then I do not get the image to reveal while hovering over the navigation. Can someone please help with the custom css?
