Company Background The National Financial Educators Council (NFEC) is a financial education resource supplier. The NFEC serves entrepreneurs, organizations, corporation and governments with all the resources necessary to launch and sustain a financial literacy initiative. [login to view URL] Project Background The primary resource used by our clients to deliver financial education is the hard-copy curricula (instructors guide, student guide and PowerPoint). [login to view URL] The curriculum is broken into 6 age groups: • PK-2nd Grade • 3rd-5th Grade • 6th-8th Grade • High School • College • Adult Each age group has unique content broken into units. Each unit is further broken down into lessons relevant to that unit. For example, The Budgeting Unit is composed 5 lessons relevant to Budgeting. Lessons contain all the instructional content. Units do not contain any content. Units are simply groupings of lesson content. Lessons are the only files that contain content. Hierarchy of the above visualized: • Book (age group) o Unit  Lesson Although lessons are grouped together in a unit, each lesson is a stand-alone in that it does not require the content from any other lesson to be delivered. Because these lessons are perfectly modular, it allows instructors to create their own syllabus created from whatever lessons they desire, in any order they desire. In addition to the standard NFEC branding, the NFEC allows clients to create Private Labeled curriculum in which a custom cover is applied to their curriculum and/or custom branding is applied to all internal pages / slides as well. See [login to view URL] for branding options available to clients. Three options exist relevant to this project: 1) NFEC Branded, 2) NFEC Branded, but custom cover and 3) Full private labeling. Vision Front-End (User-Facing) Provide our clients a browser-based resource center that allows them to build and download their custom student guides and instructors guides. Example: If a client only wants to deliver lessons A, D, X, Y, F, G in that order, they will be able to select those lessons from the resource center, order them as they wish and download the instructors guide PDF and student guide PDF containing only the aforementioned lessons they selected. Only the instructor will have access to this platform. However, you solution does not need to include user access. We have an existing login system that will handle user access / restriction. Back-End (Admin) A table based system. To be explained in detail in “Key Features” section of this document. Transferability The system needs to easy to duplicate on other domains. We have clients that host some of our services / products on their own unique subdomain. Therefore, the solution you create must be able to be transferred to other WordPress sites relatively easily. All sites will have identical infrastructure so compatibility amongst domains will not be an issue. With that said, your solution does not NEED to be a WordPress plugin. However, the front-end UI must be able to be displayed on a WordPress page. We do not need a custom site developed. The site(s) already exist. Your solution must work on these existing sites. Project Requirement Highlights The items below are key requirements we believe are needed for the solution to function as envisioned. There may be more and we rely on your expertise to help us meet our final objective. 1. Ability to compile multiple PDF files into a single downloadable PDF. 2. Display text (lesson details) associated with a particular media file. 3. Solution must be able to be placed on a WordPress page. The solution does not need to be a part of WordPress; it simply needs to be placed on a WordPress page. 4. Project includes aesthetic design. CSS must be responsive to appropriately adjust to different desktop and tablet screen resolutions. Mobile is not required.
