To provide a small number of illustrations for a small book project. The project is a twist on a children's short story where the comedy content is aimed at adults and NOT children... A young girl has some adventures with her much loved rescue cat in her little English village, each paragraph (12 of) describes a situation she finds herself in - I am considering adding some very simple, black and white cartoons to go with some of these situations. For example, the local village policeman spends too much time with her which has sinister undertones. She gets into a large swimming pool with the cat (the cat actually enjoys swimming). In another situation, she drinks wine with the local vicar, in another, she is with two Italian store owners (who are twins), the twins are both proud of their large Italian sausages... Hopefully that gives enough detail to start with. I have attached a Calvin & Hobbes example (my cat doesn't speak!) - this is the kind of style I would be aiming for.
