The project is about developing a website in HTML/CSS for a real estate project. The site is in Arabic, and hence needs to be developed with right-to-left flow, but the developer will not need to understand Arabic since all Arabic text will be entered by us. We will also provide the overall design guidelines and key visuals. We expect the developer to develop the right web design as well as the template for the different pages, and propose the right effect for the menus, slideshows and javascript animations. Two sections of the site (the news on the main page, and the FAQ) should be implemented using custom CMS, ideally Joomla. The forms used will be from embedded code from wufoo.com. Attached is a description of the site functionality (not graphic design) as well as a site-map, to explain the desired work and scope. The site should work flawlessly on Windows Internet Explorer 7/8, Firefox, Chrome, and Mac Safari, Firefox and Chrome. The requirement from the developer will be the following: - Complete the design of the website, based on our guidelines and templates. - Full build-up of HTML/CSS development with very good standards, that could be easily maintained in the future. All elements will be filled in apart from Arabic text (which is mainly in the text boxes as most titles will be pictures), which will be done by us. - Optimization of the pictures sizes, and thumbnails. - Develop the necessary template for [login to view URL] forms to fit with the site design requirements. - Encoding of video to the right format which is H.264. - Full testing on the all the required platforms. - Implementation of Google analytics. - The project may include the development of a flash animation to be embedded into the HTML website. - We will use images rather than text in several areas of the website (titles, navigation, menu), as Arabic fonts are very limited on HTML. We the images to be done on a CSS sprites so that loading is done fast. - We don't want any flash apart from the video. - We will need to make good effect on the navigation and menu, on the buttons, and the slideshows. Very important: what we provided attached is only the functional design and not the graphic design. We will provide the graphic design guidelines at the start of the project.
