Small assignment. Angular web app. Need to add 2 features. Json parsing and filtering content

I have a simple angular web app under construction that reads a json file and constructs a vertical timeline. Something like this [login to view URL] but the card designs are customized to our requirement. The web design part is done and timeline can be created with static data. I need to add these 2 things in the functionality 1. The content for the cards on the timeline needs to be read from a json file. The json file will be array of json object with each object having properties like date, card type, card title, card content etc..Depending on the length of json object array that many cards will be constructed on the vertical timeline chronologically. For e.g 5 objects ->5 cards.. 10 objects-> 10 cards on the timeline 2. There are couple of drop downs at the top which I want to act like a filter. Based on the selections in the drop down, only relevant cards to be loaded on the timeline. The drop down will have a json object property for filtering. For e.g if dropdown selection is card type 'A', only cards with type 'A' will be displayed on the timeline. This is a very small skill evaluation assignment and I need someone to help with these and then depending how well the work is done there is a potential for further(much larger) work.
