This really depends on what other evidence you have to support your verbal agreement. Unfortunately, unless your prior partner acknowledges the verbal agreement, you'll have a hard time making a claim without other evidence. The price quoted is for up to 4 hours of work. This could include answering specific questions, legal research specific to your questions, review of evidence, and other related matters. Please note I am not licensed as an attorney in California.
