WE NEED A FREELANCER LOCATED IN THE US THAT ALREADY KNOWS HOW TO USE LEXIS NEXIS. Job Category: Paralegal Services / Legal Research Job: Need experienced legal researcher on a consultative basis. The successful candidate must have experience with Pacer, Lexis Nexis, and other legal-research tools. The successful candidate may be a law-school student, a paralegal, or someone who knows how to find defendants in criminal cases. Candidate must be creative, with strong critical-thinking skills when it comes to legal research. Goal: Specifically, we want to create a systemic process to gather names of newly charged defendants in federal and state criminal cases across multiple jurisdictions. Resources: We have a Lexis Nexis Account. We can create a Pacer Account. Outcome: The system we create will allow us to hire and task a clerk that will conduct the following daily activities: 1. Use systemic process we create to compile a table with identifying information for an average of at least 100 criminal defendants each day, as listed in the table below. 2. Priority 1: Identify contact information for people who have been charged or indicted with specific federal crimes in any of the 91 federal judicial districts. 3. Priority 2: Identify people who have been charged or indicted with specific types of state crimes in any of the 3,000 counties across the USA. 4. Use Lexis Nexis system to locate contact information for each individual.
