Hi, Is your requirement to just mount a new disk to Ubuntu ? Is this a VM or a physical disk ? Steps are same for VM and Physical machines, but detecting disk is different on both platforms. Thanks

to mount a disk in ubuntu you ensure the device has the right partitions and file-system and then mount using the mount command with the root privillage
