I want to create a simple minimalist game in Unity3D, cubes come towards me (from far far away) and I have to shoot them to destroy them.
I am flying, so there is no floor. Cubes come rotating. If I am hit by a cube, I die, I only have 3 lives.
I would like basic hud of a complete game. My spaceshit doesnt show (FPS-ish game). Bullets are small cubes that rotate when launched.
I' m a veteran game developer using Unity3D for 6 years. I developed 5 mobile games, 1 mmo browser game and 3 PC games with the engine. I have much experience about gameplay programming and design. For UI i generally use NGUI but i' ve also experience about Unity GUI.
Because of being used to working with designers i save the objects as edittable prefabs as much as possible. This way the workload of the programmer gets decreased and the game can be balanced without changing code. This is one of the most powerful side of the Unity3D.
For your case there will be cube prefab, bullets prefab and player prefab. If you provide me with the values of which you want to change while balancing the game, i' ll make all of them editable on the editor. I' ll setup a scene to you which will include the basic components for the game and will deliver as a unity package.
