Copy of a website

I'd like to make a website with all functionalities similar as on [login to view URL] This site has been for sale. And I was too late too buy it. Buying the source code could be an option and this I am negociating with the webagency who made the site. However I expect this to be very expensive. My intentions are to start up a similar website, but in a different branche, and for a personnal, private, project. The contant itself is not important. The design itself is not important either since I have a friend who will cover this. ALL functionalities however must be accordingly as the site above. I know one can not look behind the logins to see the admin tool, but I expect one can have a good understanding, since one can see the front output , the idea behind the website etc... One should deliver the source code to a programmer I know locally, that will customise afterwoods the code according to my wishes, and based on your programming. So please understand he will prefer to start on a professional written coding. This person nows .NET best, so therefore preferably written in .NET. For more questions please ask.
