Shadowsocks Infrastructure for Raspberry Pi + VPS

You task will be to write a fully automated, easily customizable install script for a ShadowsSocks infrastructure as a Client-Server-Architecture to run on a Raspberry Pi 3 Model B (client) and on a VPS (server). The purpose is to create an resilient and fast connection between a RPi in China and a VPS outside of China to evade the "Great Firewall" (GFW). The instructions given here are written according to my basic understanding of this topic: they are meant as guideline and may be altered if you know better ways to solve the problem, that is to reliably circumvent the GFW while avoiding detection and providing good performance. Time frame: 3 weeks for the final version of the install scripts, and 1 additional week for the full documentation and image file
