bbpress: help with pagination

I am currently using bbpress 2.5.4. When I create a page on wordpress, and use the shortcode [bbp-topic-index], bbpress topics show properly in my page. However, if I set that particular page as a front page, [bbp-topic-index] does not work properly. For example, I am currently setting "Topics Per Page" to 10, so 10 topics show in page 1. Therefore it will show as "Showing topics 1 to 10." When I click on page 2, it should show topics 11-20, but it keeps saying, "Showing topics 1 to 10". I would like to be able to show topics 11 - 20, and so on. here is the same question posted but with different version [login to view URL]
