Synopsis: Rather than write CAD file translation between two applications, we require a new extension to dynamically grab the 3D scene content from running OpenGL applications. The 3D scene content consists of geometry, color, transformations, model parts, etc. Once the geometry is captured it needs to be passed into an existing C++ library dealing with 3D geometry. The trigger will be the "Print Screen" button over the application window. This project will use one of several possible Open Source OpenGL intercept methods, chosen from [login to view URL] OGLE, OpenGL Capture [login to view URL] Distributed Cluster OpenGL [login to view URL] GL Intercept [login to view URL] Bugle gl2ps We currently favour Chromium for license and completeness reasons. The destination proprietary C++ library website is referenced at [login to view URL] Bidders can download a trial version from that site. The resulting source code should build without errors or warnings on Windows XP, Visual Studio 2005 C++. No GUI is needed, just a simple command line program will be fine. A technical implementation report describing the interface architecture is also needed. Prerequisites: Visual Studio 2005 C++ Compiler, Windows XP Skills: Strong C++ programming experience, 3D Geometry, OpenGL, Good systematic development skills, 3D mathematics and geometric, transormation skills helpful, familiarity with 3D graphics APIs.
## Deliverables
