Hello, I have a simple website built on Joomla 1.5 and I need to upgrade it to Joomla 2.5 or 3.0. Most of the site is standard articles. Modules/Plugins/Extensions used in the site: (this is a general list, I might have missed one or two but these are the main ones) - jComment - Phoca Gallery - Chronofroms - SW menu (free edition) - Article scroller (dont know which one) The site is built on a custom template. The site is about 15 pages (most of them are core articles/blog layout except contact page/Home page/ Comments page...etc.) The site **Should NOT** be responsive or anything, it should just look and behave the same as now. IMPORTANT: All URL's should remain the same as now. the site is configured to SEF urls using Joomla Core (no 3rd party extension is used). Compatibility: All major browsers (for junk browsers > IE9+ is sufficient) In Addition: This site is duplicated and used on 2 domains - one is RTL and The other is LTR, I need both. PLEASE NOTE #1: I'm a developer myself, I need this upgrade because this site is preventing me to upgrade my server to php 5.4, I need someone who is best in developing/Joomla/Frontend scripting etc. #2: I already tried Jupgrade and it didn't well. #3 I WILL NOT ACCEPT ANY PROJECT UNDER THAN PERFECT AND WILL NOT PAY FOR ONE THAT IS NOT LIKE THIS. I HAVE A BAD EXPERIENCE WITH FREELANCERS FROM THIS WEBSITE, AND I WILL NOT REPEAT THE SAME MISTAKE THIS TIME. PLEASE BID ON THE PROJECT ONLY IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU'RE DOING. NO COMPANIES/TEAM AND OTHERS, ONLY INDIVIDUALS FREELANCERS WILL BE ACCEPTED. Hi, I have been developing websites wit Joomla since 2008. Lately I have perforemed a number of upgrades from Joomla 1.5 to Joomla 3.2 Some of then on freelancer.com. I suggest you check my reviews on my profile as references. As you already learned the hard way with Jupgrade there are actually no comprehensive reliable tools to upgrade from 1.5 to 3.2. Experience has taught me that rather than trying to fix the problems after using these tools it's actually more efficient to use another approach which I will detail hereafter. I actually start with a brand new install of Joomla 3.2. Then I make an inventory of third party extensions (which you di already) and install a Joomla 3.2 compatible version or an alternative extension if no version is compatible with the latest Joomla. Then I transfer the content: user groups, users, categories (and sections), articles, extension specific content, menus and modules in that order. Finally I redesign the template based usually on protostar (the responsive bootstrap template shipping with Joomla 3.2) to replicate the look and feel of the previous site. At the end you get a site that takes advantage of Joomla 3.2 features and not merely a Joomla 1.5 site running in a Joomla 3.2 shell.
