User Centric Identity Application

Tasks: - Enhance functionality, look, feel, and user experience for the existing Web site and applications (contact page, single sign on, forwarding, personas management, etc.) that are in the identity (xri/iNames) space. ***(Suggest that bidders/developers/interested parties browse the site, [[login to view URL]][1], become familiar with the navigation and the current applications, and even consider purchasing a name and playing with the applications to fully understand what will be required.) Applications are being offered as services to customers who have registered an xri (see [[login to view URL]][2], [[login to view URL]][3], and [[login to view URL]][1] for more information), also known as an i-name. XRI is close to being an OASIS standard. Some of the features are as follows: Contact Page(iContact) a) support for the contact specification that is located at iss.xdi.org. b) user-defined permissions for specific portions of the user-built and owned profile c) other portal features that will be provided at a later date Single Sign On (iSSO) a) Authentication via OpenID - Develop a downloadable plug-in for Explorer, Outlook, and Outlook Express that will allow an xri (iname) to be used in the address line and as an email address. - Incorporate SAML authentication into the SSO application - Help complete design of custom applications that integrate domain name (DNS-related) registration (API already available) with iName registration (module already available) - Integrate iNames into a ip/Web-based Phone/communications application. Looking to establish an ongoing relationship with individual or group. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform The identity portal page and other applications need to support all the major web browsers. Must be able to be run on Linux and Apache web servers. Prefer advanced experience in web technologies, web and user(GUI) interface development, web development, API development, advanced experience in PERL, with some knowledge of JAVA, C++.
