We are in the market for a form builder that will allow us to design a form and save it, then give to users with a viewer control and they can fill it and save it.
The form controls are very similar to vs 2003 and infopath.
Text box, radio button, check box drop down etc.. I have attached several shots of both the controls neeed and the example output. The input fields will need a properties button that will allow for basic field validation requirements, like numeric, alpha, 7 characters...It would also be wonderful if we could have some field expressions like, (add field 5 plus field 7 and put = in field 9) very basic function here, not required but we would like to hear about your thoughts on this.
The form designer will need to be written in .net and the viewer control to allow for the forms to be filled with also need to be .net
If you have infopath 2003 you will see what we are looking for minus a lot of complex functions, we really just need ability to make forms/templates, give them to users and then they can fill and save. We do not need the db connectivity that they have.
The templates file can be made using any designer technology like xml or other as long as the controls to build it are .net..
You will notice some "ink entry" controls these are not scary at all and can be added using the tablet sdk 1.7 from microsoft.
to make the toolbars look like this office 2003 we will give you infragistics controls to achieve this easily, we do not want this to be too complex for you
