Need to customize woocommerce & perhaps FEDEX shipping plugin. Currently we have items that is delivered overnight due to shipping with dry ice (ICE CREAM). Customers order ice cream and pastries from our site. Ice cream in Increments of 5 items per box equals 1 case. if they order say 10 items that is 2 cases. If they order 15 items that would be 3 cases and so on. Shipping cost should double and even triple the shipping cost based on the cases. Right now the system only charges shipping once. I need that changed to charge shipping again based off the increments of 5 We also sell Pastries that forces the customer to purchase in increments of 12 and doesn't have to be shipped overnight. Should the customer mix match ice cream & pastries in the cart the system knows to over-ride and send it out over-night to preserve the ice cream and dry-ice. ISSUE: As it stands now we are losing out when we have to ship 2-3-4 or even more cases out, but only charged once by the FEDEX plugin or woocommerce.

Hello Sir, below is my plan: 1. I will modify the fedex shipping pluggin so that the shpping charges will be multiplied based on the number of cases. Number of cases will be determined based on the category of the product which is set by admin for icecreams and pastries. 2. I have a query regarding the mix match of icecream and pastry orders. As you said icecreams are bound to be sent overnight and pastries not, so is it that shipping for icecream is done differently with that of pastries when the order is not mix-matched? (with respect to cost or by different method?) . If there is any difference with regard to this, then please clarify the same. Please contact, I am sure to do this job, as it is just calculating number of cases based on different category of products.

Simply split the order before processing over the shipping module. So, there would be unit calculation before submitted to fedex as well. And this is pretty easy as we will modify on woocommerce code directly.
