VB.net and Perl Interface

Hello I have a requirement for a project where I need to execute Perl scripts from within VB.net User Interface. The perl script will take arguments from the VB.net UI textboxes, do some backend processing on the arguments and process the output. I need help with the following: I. Calling perl scripts from VB.Net, with arguments in the most efficient way. ii. Capturing the output from the perl script into VB.net code, be able to parse outputs which will be in data structure like an array or a scalar variable. This data needs to be parsed and displayed on the UI screens mostly in text boxes. iii. Able to call perl executables (provide compilation steps) with command line arguments and be able to do the above steps.
