Hi there,
This is Bogdan from Romania.
I'm a mechanical engineer - specialized in the industrial robotic field, 3D designer, industrial designer and, 3D modeler.
For some of my projects, I'm also doing the physical prototype too.
I'm doing product design, industrial design, reverse engineering, ideation, etc.
I have over 15 years of experience working on various systems/devices across multiple industries, from concept to launch.
1 - the rubber pads could be designed in several shapes to address the different impact directions and/or the behavior of the pads under the shock
2 - neither kong nor competitor's gloves don't behave quite well under impact - they just amortizes a bit the impact, but do not dilute and distribute the force...
3 - my best solution would be a "pillow" type pads, filled with a special gel, and the upper and lower faces of the pads to have different durometer, in such way to allow the entire pad to properly absorbed the impact and distribute the force, thus to really protect the worker's hand
5 - the pattern on the face of the glove could vary and this is not the most important issue if you want to come up with a top-notch protection glove :)
For any more questions, we could chat here, including the whole details of the project, final price, time frame, deliverables, etc, etc...
Regards
Bogdan
