Recently I have done such a project for a robotics competition I enrolled and so I have all the resources and codes for it. My idea is, The ball will be detected by detecting the contour with the maximum area. The color is detected by noting the color of centroid pixel of the ball (maximum area). All done using openCV lib of python.
