Development of analysis software for the RIP routing protocol in Python 3 "
Background:
Routing protocols are configured on routers and serve to exchange accessibility information in networks. The analysis of this log data provides important information about the structure and correct operation of a network.
Task:
The project will develop analysis software for the RIP routing protocol in Python. It should be used in version 3 Python. The software should be able to read RIP messages from PCAP files and to extract and display the contained information.
The following subtasks have to be processed / solved:
• Selection and evaluation of a suitable Python library for reading PCAP files (scapy, dpkt, ...).
• Extraction of the routing information from the RIP data packets.
• Presentation of routing information (networks, routers, metrics, etc.).
Option 1: With the help of the visualization tool NetworkX, the information obtained
graphically displayed. Option 2: The software should be enabled
RIP to receive messages over the network. To do this, a socket on the multicast address [login to view URL] must be able to receive and decode incoming packets.
Hello!\nI am a python developer.\nI looked at your project and it seems interesting.\nI have all necessary skills required for this project.\nPing me to discuss in detail.
I am a software professional with good experience in Networking and Python. I have good knowledge on all Routing protocols. One of my projects - testing webrtc voip( you can check my history for that) involved reading pcap files ,extracting RTP packets and analyzing them for delay packet loss etc. Si I feel I will be able to do this without much issue
Dear Customer ,
I have experience in both Python and Cisco networking .
Please check my project and you will find the hard to find combination .Request you to initiate a chat to discuss further .
Best Regards ,
