Aim: • To produce a short, written policy brief on the Case 3 topic ‘Building the 24-hour city: Night-time infrastructure in London’ Objectives: • Summarise key information on an assigned scientific topic on which you may have little or no technical expertise • Produce some preliminary policy recommendations on the topic, based on an undertaking of Bardach’s 8-steps • Produce a policy brief for a specified audience, taking in to account: their likely expertise and information needs, personal or professional interest • Plan, write and present the brief in an effective manner Content: You have been requested to provide a policy brief on the Case 3 topic ‘Building the 24-hour city: Night-time infrastructure in London’ for Amy Lamé (Night Czar), she is interested to know more about the priorities for infrastructure development relating to the 24-hour city plans for London. The brief should effectively summarise the technical information and relevant policy challenges / opportunities for green infrastructure.
