2 Policy breifs

I need two separate breifs done - here is the details of the project The London Night Time Commission exists to identify and promote effective interventions for the night time in London. Part of their remit is to carry out research to understand what life in London is like between 6pm and 6am. While some work has already been carried out to date on London as a 24-hour city, a deeper understanding of the needs and challenges surrounding night time infrastructure in London is required, along with an analysis of current policy that affects the way in which this is currently approached or might need to be managed in to the future. The London Night Time Commission has requested a briefing on the topic. This should take the form of an oral brief (presentation) on Wednesday 21st March and a short, written brief, delivered by Midnight on 25th April. Amy Lamé has asked that the briefing include: 1. An overview of the current knowledge base on night time infrastructure in London, identifying key challenges and opportunities 2. A synopsis of the areas of current operation, and likely areas of future operation, for the commission, as part of the remit of the Mayor of London, in which this knowledge could be of relevance 3. An analysis of the current policies in place which may affect the way in which night time infrastructure in the city in planned and managed: • Negatively – limitations • Positively – incentives 4. A small number of policy routes (alternatives) that could be taken by the commission, as part of the remit of the Mayor of London 5. A recommendation to accompany your alternatives
