Help Me Create A Custom Internet Marketing and SEO Strategy(repost)

I own an up and coming revenue-sharing Article writing website. I would like to increase the awareness of my website, and get more active sign-ups on my website. It is a web 2.0 website, and has a similar business model to websites like HubPages and Squidoo. I would like to create an internet marketing and SEO strategy that I can use to get around 1,000 new sign ups per month, and increase the awareness of my website. **I'm looking for something more advanced than someone telling me to submit to directories and social bookmark the site.** I would like to work on this full time, and so I would like a feasible plan of action that I can follow everyday to get the results I want. **I would like to create a strategy based on free methods that don't require further investment.** Please, understand that I am not asking you to actually do any of the leg-work. (you should be familiar with websites like mine to be able to give me this kind of advice). 2-how and where should I be building backlinks and optimizing for the keywords? 3-what design elements should I improve to entice users to sign up? 4-recommend a more effective AdSense placement that won't get in the way of content. 5-what is the step-by-step plan of action that I will follow everyday? 6-how long will it take to achieve my goal based on the methods you are providing?
