Convert 60 line Python 3 library to Python 2.5

Hello. I have couple years of experience with Python programming. Also I have installed both python 2 and python 3 on my machine. I am able to run script under python 3 and investigate how it works in details. And I have environment to test converted script and make sure it works same. And I am familiar with format() function.
