What I have and what I need... I have a Cisco IP phone 7970g that I wish to use with 2talk.co.nz. I am based in Sweden for the moment connecting the phone directly to our home router. At the moment the phone has SIP firmware on it and has not been provisioned. Other than that the config settings are all unchanged and the SIP settings also unchanged as I am not sure how to do this. What you can do... If you can set up the configuration of the phone to work with [login to view URL], apply the domestic NZ settings to the phone (time, date etc) and connect this to our business account on 2talk. You can remote access if you wish or if that is not going to work for you can simply provide advice on how to do it and walk me through it as I go. Thanks and look forward to submissions.

Dear Hiring Manager I have over 4 years experience of configuring Cisco based devices, having experience of configuring SIP files for Cisco IP phone 7970G . All you need is a valid Cisco Sip Firmware , a TFTP server and the 2 .XML files for registration with the SIP provider. I am a CCNP (R&S,Security) and would be able to do this project in minimum time possible. looking forward to have a good working relationship with you. Regards Asad

Hi, glad to help you with this project. I've configured Cisco phones with SIP before, different models 7960/7912, different configurations. However the job is not that easy because all the SIP settings are changeable through a configuration file which is uploaded over tftp on the phone. The config file is done manually so it's a trial&error case. Please let me know when we can start. Thanks. Best regards

Hi there. I can help you set up your IP Phone to your 2talk account. As much as I can remember, the phone cannot be set up remotely. But I should be able to give you all the required step-by-step procedure on how to set your phone. Please feel free to contact me if you're interested. Thanks. PS: generally the info I need to start the configuration of your phone is: your account name, password, domain name/ip address of the sip server. If I missed anything I'll let you know.

Hello, Do you have sip peering or registered trunk service? does do you have sip ports (mainly UDP 5060) opened in your region or not? do you have static public IP address on your Cisco router acting as CUCME or not? your phone does not necessarily need to have sip firmware as it could work on regular SCCP firmware, I can do this project quite fast but I added 7 days because I am not sure about your network topology. I will also need to check what codecs are supported by your sip trunk provider. I have active cisco CCVP, CCNP, and CCIP certifications and have been in this field for this field for more than 11 years but I am new to free lancer website as I created an account but did not actually use it. Thanks Iyad

I have been working in this environment for 4 years now. I will only accept payment once the product works as expected. I have completed my my CCIE Voice 1.5yrs a ago and would use all my skills to make this work (Only if its compatible). Just a suggestion: 1. Make sure your phone has got a valid IP reachable over the internet. 2. Check the status messages on the phone to see why its failing to register. If its something else and can be troubleshooted, I am happy to help. One thing I want to be honest about is that I would not be able to help you with routing issue since its not something I am good at. If its VOIP, I will be on my toes to get it resolved.
