As per your oppinion that the gaps are too close or the bar/shaft is too thin, if you're right, I'll suggest you to adopt a linked hinge or a multi link system if the design allows. Hi, I am currently working full time in Solidworks at Fraunhofer IPA, Mannheim, Germany. I am a Master Student with 3.5 years experience in AutoCAD, Pro/E.
